Why Haiti is in a bad state before the earthquake.

1. Political violence.

2. Originated from slaves who over threw the Spanish but left with very little money.

3. People mostly working in farms prone to natural disasters.

4. Lots of smuggling and drug distribution.

5. Not much police.

6. Aids which results in lower life expectancy.

7. High risk of diseases like malaria or hepatitis.

8. The rich just about own Haiti.

9. The Spanish a long time ago brought their diseases with them.

10.Civil wars.

Will this is a very good post. Your statements aren't long, but they didn't have to be. You've obviously found some strong information in your research.

This post taught me so many facts. I never knew that there was political violence and Haiti had anything to do with the Spanish! I also did not know that Haiti does not have much police. I thought that the president would have taken care of that. At least countries are now trying to get help there.
