Yesterday there was an earthquake in jakarta. During that same day a snake went into the school and crawled into a hole. The snake must have sensed the earthquake before it happened. Anyway when the earthquake happened I heard it was big and people were freaking out. But in the cafeteria it wasn't so big. When the earthquake hit 38 people died. Bricks must have fallen on most of them since there wasn't a tsunami. But there was a tsunami warning because tsunamis are possible in jakarta. There was definitely no landslide since the terrain is flat. This earthquake must of happened because jakarta is in the ring of fire

William, you've got a lot of content here that has accurate information. That is good. Now the writing must be shaped to address the social studies standards. We are not studying the earthquake, or earthquakes in general, but are looking at major social studies standards, and writing to them is more difficult.
